Acadmics are working with a specialist SEN school in Canterbury who are seeking a passionate and committed KS1 & KS2 Teacher to join their supportive and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for a teacher who is driven by impact rather than data, and who is confident adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across KS1 and KS2
- Support pupils with a range of needs, including ASC, SEMH and additional learning needs
- Create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and SEN professionals
- Use creative approaches to promote academic progress, emotional regulation and independence
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
The Ideal Candidate
- Hold QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
- Have experience teaching SEN and/or primary-aged pupils
- Are calm, patient and resilient, with strong behaviour-management skills
- Are adaptable and confident teaching across mixed abilities
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Are open to training and continuous professional development
