**BSL TA REQUIRED – FULL TIME ROLE**

Academics Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced individual who has the knowledge and are qualified in British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or 3. The role consists of working closely with the SEND provision in order to provide support for children in classrooms with hearing impairment.

The school is based in Birmingham and they require the BSL Teaching Assistant to be able to commit to this role on a FULL TIME basis.

PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE A BSL QUALIFICATION AS THIS IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CHILDREN

The successful candidate must:

* Assist in improving students learning and development.
* Have a minimum of a Level 2 in Sign Language, however, candidates with a lower level of qualification and a high level of experience in using British Sign Language will also be considered.
* Be dedicated and knowledgeable who wants to make a difference.
* Show commitment to the long term position and support pupils with Hearing Impairment.

You must hold:

¬ Level 2 or 3 in British Sign language
¬ Experience working with students with Hearing impairments.
¬ Passion for working with Special Educational Needs

Academics Ltd requires all candidates to have a fully enhanced DBS check, minimum of two year working references plus a face to face interview.
