About the Role

Academics are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Pastoral Supply Workers to support students in secondary schools across Bradford on long-term supply placements. This role involves supporting students' emotional, social, and behavioural needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral support to students, promoting wellbeing and positive behaviour
  • Support students with emotional, social, or behavioural challenges
  • Monitor and mentor students, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff to implement support plans
  • Encourage positive relationships and promote a safe and inclusive school environment
  • Assist with lunchtime, break, and transition periods as needed

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a school setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
  • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
