About the Role
Academics are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Pastoral Supply Workers to support students in secondary schools across Bradford on long-term supply placements. This role involves supporting students' emotional, social, and behavioural needs, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral support to students, promoting wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Support students with emotional, social, or behavioural challenges
- Monitor and mentor students, ensuring they are engaged and supported in their learning
- Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff to implement support plans
- Encourage positive relationships and promote a safe and inclusive school environment
- Assist with lunchtime, break, and transition periods as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with children and young people, ideally in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
