About the Role
Academics are recruiting reliable and motivated General Kitchen Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Bradford. This role involves supporting the school catering team, preparing and serving meals, and helping maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen and dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times
- Support the smooth running of school mealtimes
- Work as part of a team to ensure an efficient catering service
- Assist with stock rotation and basic kitchen tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering or kitchen work preferred but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
