A welcoming Specialist School in Bicester is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join their team ASAP and work as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Autism, Speech and Language Needs, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Communication Needs.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Help students overcome emotional, behavioural and learning barriers.
- Apply psychological theory and behaviour strategies in the classroom.
- Create a safe, engaging and positive learning environment.
- Work alongside Teachers, Therapists and SEN professionals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate looking to gain valuable experience before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Speech and Language Therapy, Mental Health Services or Teaching. You will gain relevant safeguarding training, and help support the school's fully‑integrated therapy programme.
The school is looking for a motivated graduate who is friendly, proactive and enthusiastic. Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. You will need to have resilience and a positive can‑do attitude.
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. ASAP Start. Long‑term / full‑time role.
