Aspiring Educational Psychologist – Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant
Location: Worthing
Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 – 15:30
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience OR a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work. It is the perfect position for someone in search of hands‑on experience working with social, emotional mental health needs.
What is Involved?
- Assisting students academically and pastorally
- Working 1:1 or in a small group
- Encouraging the development of appropriate social skills
- To ensure accurate individual student records are maintained
- Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
Skills & Requirements
- Assisting students academically and pastorally
- Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
- Able to encourage the development of social skills and support students\’ individual needs
- Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
- Follow safeguarding procedures

Requirements
- An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
- Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C and above (desired)
- Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
- Able to commute to Worthing
