Art Teacher SEN School in Lymington/New Forest, Hampshire Academics are seeking an Art Teacher/Photography Teacher, or Unqualified Art Teacher/Instructor to carry out a full-time contract in an SEN school in Lymington on the outskirts of the New Forest who offer outstanding education and care for students with Asperger\’s Syndrome and other associated needs. They cater for pupils aged from 7 – 19 years and have extensive grounds and facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, an angling lake and grass and hard-court areas for recreational activities. The school is set between Brockenhurst and Lymington with easy access to the New Forest and the seaside. They are seeking an Art Teacher/Photography Teacher/Instructor who is available for a minimum of 6 weeks starting on 10th November. The successful Art Teacher will be required to plan and deliver engaging and exciting Art and Photography lessons from yr7 up to GCSE level. Class sizes are small due to the needs of the pupils and support staff are on hand for 1:1 and classroom support. The suitable Art Teacher will be an Art/Photography specialist and be someone who is patient, kind, firm and consistent yet nurturing, and most importantly somebody who is able to stay calm under pressure. You will ideally live in Lymington, or within the New Forest area so you can easily commute to the school. You will be joining a supportive team who are committed to providing the best opportunity to provide their pupils with the best start in life. Experience of working with children with SEN/challenging behaviour would be an advantage but not essential when applying.
