Maths Teacher – Residential SEN School, Andover
September 2026 start – Permanent position.
The school caters for young people aged 11-19 with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
All students have an EHCP.
We are looking to appoint a passionate and engaging Maths Teacher with QTS to join a full-time contract starting in September.
The school currently has 38 students on roll; class sizes are no more than six pupils.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Maths lessons across the school.
- Teach students following the National Curriculum to achieve GCSEs in Year 11.
- Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs of students with SEN, including autism/Asperger’s syndrome.
- Build positive relationships with students, employing a calm, empathetic, nurturing approach.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Maths.
- Experience teaching students with SEN, preferably autism or Asperger’s syndrome.
- Previous experience in an SEN setting is an advantage.
- Willingness to commute to Andover daily.
