Mental Health Assistant – Maidenhead – ASAP Start Have you got experience helping children who struggle with mental health? Are you a psychology graduate looking for your first step into mental health? A lovely school in Maidenhead is looking for a mental health assistant to join their team in September. They are looking for a Mental Health Assistant who is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience with ASD, ADHD and SEN. In this role as Mental Health Assistant, you will be valued as a part of a vital team and will be supported throughout your whole time there. The school are looking for a Mental Health Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH who is resilient and patient. The school also have a role supporting a lovely Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD who is also part of a small group who have complex needs. Your role as Mental Health Assistant may include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities: Supporting children’s behaviour for learning in the classroom. Helping children with their understanding of the teacher’s instructions. Working with individual learners in the classroom 1:1, or working with individuals or small groups in the Learning Support department. Keeping track and recording pupil progress. At this Primary School you will be well supported and promote teamwork to develop the best structure for the students.
