Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 SEN Intervention Assistant:

  • Targeted Intervention: Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the student\’s specific needs—whether they are related to learning, social development, or behaviour.
  • Lesson Adaptation: Assist in planning and delivering lessons or activities that are accessible, engaging, and adapted to the student’s individual learning style and pace.
  • Monitoring & Feedback: Track the student’s progress and regularly share observations with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure effective support is in place.
  • Emotional Support: Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages emotional resilience, confidence, and independence.
  • Collaborative Support: Work as part of a wider team—including teaching staff, SENCO, and parents—to implement consistent strategies that promote development and inclusion.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Empathy & Patience: A calm and understanding approach to supporting children with additional needs, particularly during moments of difficulty.
  • Adaptability: A flexible mindset that recognises and responds to the unique challenges and strengths of each child.
  • Clear Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
  • Competitive Daily Rate: £90–£95 per day
  • Location: Slough
  • Schedule: Full time – Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
