Academics is a teaching supply agency working closely with Primary and Secondary schools across South Wales. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in the Rhoose area. This is a temporary full-time role, with working hours of 08:45 to 15:45, Monday to Friday.

This role is ideal for someone confident working across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, who enjoys variety and working in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Breakfast Club each morning from 07:45
  • Provide in-class support to teachers across a variety of year groups
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to support learning
  • Help prepare classroom resources and support day-to-day classroom routines
  • Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 months\’ experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
  • Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning – desirable)
  • Ability to work flexibly across different age groups
  • Two professional references
