Academics is a teaching supply agency working closely with Primary and Secondary schools across South Wales. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in the Rhoose area. This is a temporary full-time role, with working hours of 08:45 to 15:45, Monday to Friday.
This role is ideal for someone confident working across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, who enjoys variety and working in a team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Support Breakfast Club each morning from 07:45
- Provide in-class support to teachers across a variety of year groups
- Work 1:1 or with small groups of pupils to support learning
- Help prepare classroom resources and support day-to-day classroom routines
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Minimum Requirements
- At least 3 months\β experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning β desirable)
- Ability to work flexibly across different age groups
- Two professional references
