SEND Teacher
Academics is seeking to appoint a SEND Teacher with ASD, MLD or SLD experience on behalf of a \’Good\’ Ofsted rated special school in Dudley.
The school provides a very good standard of education for the pupils and all staff work together to engage, inspire and motivate their pupils. Pupils\’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted well and the richness and diversity of school life are celebrated with pride.
The successful Teacher must be comfortable with manual handling and all training will be provided for this. A knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Makaton is desirable for this role in order to be able to effectively communicate with some of the students.
The Successful Teacher will hold the following attributes:
- Experience working as a Special Educational Needs Teacher
- Desire to work in a diverse, challenging but rewarding environment
- Calm and collective and be able to bring enthusiasm and initiative to their role
- Positive mental attitude and flexibility
- Able to encourage progression
- Must hold a QTS
