Overview

Academics are searching for a Psychology teacher for one of our well-established schools in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to further progress in your teaching career and to be apart of a team that promote academic excellence and professional growth. In previous OFSTED reports the school have been praised for having an extensive programme of training to lead and teach the curriculum in their subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Psychology across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Supervising students\’ behaviour and referring to the school\’s behaviour management policy if required
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
  • Following the school\’s safeguarding policies, ensuring a safe environment for the students

Qualities and attributes

  • Experience teaching Social Sciences up to A-Level, particularly Psychology.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for making an impact on students\’ lives
  • A relevant degree related to Social Sciences accompanied with a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply to one
