Academics are seeking experienced Special Needs Assistants to join our team to work in our clients Mainstream Primary School. As a Special Needs Assistant, you will play a key role within the classroom, within smaller groups of pupils & 1:1 sessions where required.
Working with Academics:
- Permanent part-time & full-time vacancies
- Daily supply work from £90 per day
- Competitive pay for contract and permanent roles (MPS/UPS scale depending on experience)

We are looking for someone who:
- Supports pupils with SEND, including using non-verbal communication
- Puts children first and can create clear structure
- Is confident working in a specialist provision
- Stays calm under pressure
- Has experience supporting children with social/communication needs (ideally 1:1)
- Is calm, firm, adaptable and willing to learn
- Can respond to children's emotional needs
Experience with SEND is desirable.
