An exciting position has risen for a Subject Leader of Music! Academics are looking for a vibrant and innovative Music Leader who has the talent and enthusiasm to lead and teach Music subjects. This role will be perfect if you are looking for a career progression as a Music Teacher.
The secondary school is based in B11 and they would like a qualified Teacher who has experience of successfully leading teaching, learning and assessment in Music to raise standards and achieve 'outstanding' outcomes. You will lead and be responsible for ensuring the highly effective delivery of Music across all years of music. This is a maternity cover position from September 2025 to July 2026.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
- Have a track record of success in teaching Music for a minimum of 2 years.
- Have experience of delivering the music curriculum at secondary level
- Have a passion for motivating students and improving outcomes.
- Be reflective and have a desire to work effectively in partnership with parents and students.
- Have the ability to manage, lead and motivate colleagues, empowering all staff within the team to achieve their full potential as practitioners.
