KS3 Nurture Teacher

Contract: Full-time

Are you a compassionate, creative and resilient teacher who thrives on helping young learners re-engage with education? Academics is seeking a dedicated KS3 Nurture Teacher to join a supportive alternative provision / SEN setting in the Bromley area.
The Role
As a KS3 Nurture Teacher, you will:
- Lead a small KS3 nurture group focused on social, emotional and academic development
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across a primary model or broad KS3 curriculum
- Build positive, trusting relationships with learners who may present SEMH needs or be working below age-related expectations
- Use nurturing, trauma-informed and restorative approaches to promote emotional regulation, confidence and independence
- Work closely with support staff, the SENCO and wider pastoral teams
- Track progress and contribute to personalised learning plans (PLPs/EHCP targets)
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience working with KS3 students, nurture groups, SEN or SEMH learners
- Understands child-centred, relational and trauma-informed practice
- Is patient, proactive, reflective, and committed to inclusion
- Can create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
- Works effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
