Academics Ltd is a leading national education recruitment agency, specialising in the supply of teachers and education professionals to schools across the UK. We are currently seeking either an experienced Recruitment Manager or Senior Consultant looking for a step into management to lead and develop our SEND team based in London.

The Role

As Recruitment Manager for the SEND team, you will be responsible for managing a high-performing team of consultants, driving business growth, and delivering an exceptional recruitment service to schools and candidates. This is a key leadership role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities - Recruitment Manager

  • Lead, manage, and develop the SEND recruitment team to achieve and exceed targets
  • Drive new business development while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and education regulations
  • Set team objectives, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Work closely with senior management to implement growth strategies for the SEND division
  • Ensure a high-quality, ethical, and candidate-focused recruitment service

About You

  • Proven experience in education recruitment, ideally within SEND
  • Previous management or team-lead experience within a recruitment environment
  • Strong billing background with a track record of achieving targets
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
