Are you a flexible and reliable Primary Teacher looking for a varied and rewarding supply role across Worksop? Academics are currently recruiting a Primary PPA Cover Teacher to support mainstream primary schools throughout Worksop on a temporary, ongoing supply basis.
Position: Primary PPA Cover Teacher
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £130 – £190 per day (paid via PAYE – no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you
What is PPA Cover? PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover involves teaching classes while permanent teachers are out of the classroom completing their scheduled PPA time. As a Primary PPA Cover Teacher, you will work across different year groups, often within the same school or across multiple schools. This role allows you to teach across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, gaining valuable experience across all primary key stages. It is ideal for adaptable teachers who enjoy variety and building positive relationships across whole school communities.

As a Primary PPA Cover Teacher in Worksop, you will deliver engaging, pre-prepared lessons, ensure continuity of learning, and maintain a structured and positive classroom environment. This role offers excellent flexibility while allowing you to develop your experience across multiple age groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Adapt confidently to different classrooms and school environments
- Maintain strong behaviour management and pupil engagement
- Ensure pupils remain focused and supported in their learning
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
- Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within primary schools
- Confident delivering lessons across multiple year groups
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
