You’ll work closely with one student, delivering tailored Functional Skills English tuition that meets their individual learning needs and helps them develop essential literacy, communication and exam skills.

- £30 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging one-to-one Functional Skills English tuition.
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit the student's individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
- Identify learning gaps and create personalised lesson plans to support progress.
- Build the student's confidence in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and communication.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment that encourages independence and success.
- We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- At least one year's teaching or tutoring experience in
Functional Skills English .
- Experience supporting students with
Special Educational Needs (SEN) .
- A patient, flexible and encouraging approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt lessons to individual learning styles.
- The right to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience supporting students with EHCPs.
- Experience delivering Functional Skills English or literacy interventions.
- Experience working within SEN settings, alternative provision or one-to-one tuition.
