We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker local to Berkhamsted to join a leading independent school in Berkhamsted. This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable and proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring our school site remains safe, secure, and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds.
- Ensuring security of the premises, including key holding and alarm management.
- Carrying out health and safety checks in line with statutory requirements.
- Undertaking cleaning, repair, and general caretaking duties.
- Supporting staff and contractors with access and facilities use.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience in building maintenance and use of cleaning methods/materials.
- Knowledge of basic health and safety requirements (COSHH awareness desirable).
