We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in the Tonbridge area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LSA, Teaching Assistant or someone looking to build a career in education. You will play an important role in supporting students both academically and pastorally, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
The Role
- Supporting students in the classroom across a range of subjects
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Helping students remain focused and engaged with their learning
- Supporting students with additional learning needs
- Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
- Encouraging positive behaviour and developing students' confidence and independence
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Experience supporting students with SEND would be an advantage
- Patient, approachable and confident in building positive relationships
- Able to work effectively as part of a wider school team
- Reliable, professional and adaptable
- Passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed
