This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, maintaining a positive learning environment and helping pupils continue their education when their usual teacher is absent.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain focused and on task.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and support pupils with their learning activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Encourage positive engagement, respect and participation throughout lessons.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
The Cover Supervisor role offers valuable experience within secondary education, allowing you to develop classroom management skills and gain insight into the day-to-day running of a school. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity of learning and helping pupils make the most of their school day.
