Academics Ltd are working with a welcoming school in Swanley who are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join their school catering team.

The Role

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
  • Supporting the kitchen team with general kitchen duties
  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment
  • Washing up and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic
  • Assisting with stock and deliveries when required
  • Following food hygiene, health & safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Helping to provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

About You

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or similar environment
  • A reliable and hardworking attitude
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working within a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential
  • An Enhanced DBS suitable for working in a school, or willingness to obtain one
