The Role
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
- Supporting the kitchen team with general kitchen duties
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas and equipment
- Washing up and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic
- Assisting with stock and deliveries when required
- Following food hygiene, health & safety and safeguarding procedures
- Helping to provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff
About You
- Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or similar environment
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Experience working within a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential
- An Enhanced DBS suitable for working in a school, or willingness to obtain one
