Academics are looking for a proactive and resilient Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Runcorn, supporting students who require additional support positively approach education and learning.

About the Role

As a Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will

  • Providing support with students in the classroom.
  • Building trusting and positive relationships with students.
  • Recognising when students need additional support and responding appropriately.
  • Encouraging independence and a positive approach to learning.
  • Prioritising the safeguarding and wellbeing of students.

About You

  • Passionate about working with children and young people.
  • Experienced in working in a classroom environment.
  • Proactive and dedicated to supporting students and their learning.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a wider team.
  • Knowledge of mental health challenges in children, ASD and ADHD.
  • Based in Runcorn or in surrounding areas.
