We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate High Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Rochester, supporting pupils with high SEN needs. The successful candidate will be confident working on a 1:1 basis and passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
The role will involve:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with high additional needs
- Supporting children across KS1 and KS2
- Helping pupils access learning and develop their independence
- Supporting with behaviour, emotional regulation and pastoral needs where appropriate
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with high SEN needs
- Is confident providing 1:1 support
- Can work effectively across both KS1 and KS2
- Is patient, caring, resilient and adaptable
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Holds a full Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA, SEN Teaching Assistant or someone with strong relevant experience who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
