The Role
As a Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a variety of school settings. Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Working alongside teachers to support classroom activities
- Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required
- Helping pupils access the curriculum
- Supporting pupils' Welsh language development
- Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Assisting with classroom routines and activities
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
We're Looking For
- Fluent Welsh speaker - essential
- Previous experience working within a school environment is desirable
- Alternatively, strong experience working with children in another capacity
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning
- Reliable and adaptable
- Someone who is happy working on a flexible, ad-hoc basis
