A specialist school in Donnington is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its team as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential learning skills.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualised support, helping pupils engage with lessons and participate in school life.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils' needs.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence.
- Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
- Adapt activities to help pupils access learning and achieve their goals.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting children. Previous experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD or learning difficulties is beneficial but not essential.
