Welsh Medium Teaching Assistant - Merthyr Tydfil

Academics is currently recruiting Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to work within a Welsh-medium primary school in Merthyr Tydfil.
Whether you have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or have gained extensive experience working with children in another setting, we'd love to hear from you!
The Role

Supporting pupils within a Welsh-medium primary school.

Assisting the class teacher with daily lessons and classroom activities.

Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.

Communicating with pupils and staff confidently in Welsh.

Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

Supporting children's social, emotional and academic development.

Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
We're Looking For
- Fluency in Welsh is essential.

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or extensive experience working with children in another setting.

Confidence supporting primary-aged pupils.

A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach.

Someone passionate about Welsh-medium education and helping children reach their potential.
Pay & Requirements

£92.59 per day, with potential increases depending on the school's agreed rate, your experience and qualifications.

Enhanced DBS certificate required.

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) required.
