Here at Academics, we are working with this very popular Nursery school based in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. The Nursery school is part of the larger independent school that offers an outstanding private education for Primary age children. Children attending the Nursery School can start from 6 months old and go on to start Reception aged 4 or 5. The school offers a wide EYFS curriculum including Sports, Dance, French and Forest School.

You will be joining an efficient, friendly and very caring team of teachers and early years practitioners who put their pupils at heart of everything they do. The curriculum is further enriched with visiting teachers from the main school, as there are strong links between the Early Years teams in Nursery and the school Reception Class.

The Head of Early Years is ready to recruit an experienced Room Leader to work initially in the baby room (0 to 2 years old), but also take on additional responsibilities if needed, covering other classes and being second in command in the Nursery Manager's absence. Additional operational duties may include organising rotas, communication with parents and supporting visitors/teachers while in school.

This would be the perfect role for an existing Nursery Room Leader who would like to take the first steps into management in a supportive, OFSTED rated outstanding Nursery school.

The successful Nursery Room Leader will be:

  • Confident and able to work on their own initiative
  • Have excellent EYFS curriculum knowledge
  • Qualified to Level 3 or above (CACHE 3 / EYFS)
  • Able to commit to 8am to 6pm 4 days per week
  • Willing to learn and share best practice

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
