URGENTLY REQUIRED - EARLY YEARS TEACHING ASSISTANT
Full-Time | Reception | Huddersfield
A primary school in Huddersfield is urgently seeking an enthusiastic, caring and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children to learn, develop and thrive in their first years of school.
The Role
You will be supporting children within Reception, working alongside the class teacher and wider Early Years team to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment.
The successful candidate will:
- Support children's learning and development across the Early Years curriculum.
- Assist with both adult-led and child-initiated activities.
- Encourage children's independence, confidence and social development.
- Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the class teacher to support individual children's needs.
- Provide a warm, nurturing and consistent presence for the children.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Previous Early Years experience gained within a private nursery or school setting.
- A relevant Early Years / Nursery Nurse qualification.
- A genuine passion for working with young children.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A caring, patient and nurturing approach.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid training - however, this can be provided for the successful candidate if required.
