HIGH NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT

Location: Gravesend
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Setting: Mainstream Primary School

We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated High Needs Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Gravesend area.

The successful candidate will be supporting pupils with additional and complex needs, helping them to access learning, develop their independence and manage behaviour in a positive and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous SEN experience, ideally within a primary school setting

• Experience supporting children with high or complex needs

• Strong behaviour management skills

• A calm, patient and nurturing approach

• Confidence working within a mainstream primary school

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Relevant experience and/or qualifications in education, childcare or SEN

• The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team

• Driving is preferred, although candidates who are able to reliably travel by public transport will also be considered

Safeguarding Requirements:

• An enhanced DBS is required

• Candidates with a suitable DBS already in place are welcome to apply

• If you do not currently have a DBS, you must be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS

• References and appropriate safeguarding checks will be completed

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
