Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting Primary Classroom Support Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply opportunities across mainstream primary schools in Doncaster.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being involved in day-to-day classroom life and helping pupils get the most out of their learning. As a Primary Classroom Support Assistant, you could support the whole class, help small groups with specific activities or provide additional support to pupils with SEN, depending on the needs of each Doncaster school.
Position: Primary Classroom Support Assistant
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £92.56 - £95 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role
Working as a Primary Classroom Support Assistant in Doncaster, you will help create a welcoming and productive learning environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to participate.
You may assist with classroom tasks, reinforce instructions, listen to children read and provide extra help with learning activities. Some roles may also involve supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them access lessons and develop greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with daily classroom activities
- Help pupils understand and complete their work
- Provide whole-class, small-group and individual support
- Assist with reading, writing, phonics and maths activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil independence
- Support children with additional learning needs where required
- Communicate effectively with teachers and other school staff
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Experience in a school or similar setting is beneficial
- Patient, reliable and approachable manner
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
