Secondary Teaching Assistant / Crewe / ASAP Start / Fixed-Term Contract

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning and behaviour?

Academics are working with a supportive secondary school in Crewe, Cheshire East, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support their Reflection Room. This is a full-time role starting ASAP until Christmas initially.

About the Role:

  • Supporting KS3 and KS4 students withbehavioural, emotional and pastoral needs
  • Providing a calm and structured environment for students to reflect and reset
  • Building positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations
  • Supporting students to regulate their emotions and make positive choices
  • Using effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a school, SEN, pastoral or behavioural setting
  • Calm, patient, resilient and confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
