Accademics are currently recruiting for a dedicated Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant on behalf of a specialist setting in Cheltenham. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to a range of learners across the day.
- Support learners with their learning, development and engagement.
- Support the delivery of targeted interventions and personalised activities.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with learners.
- Encourage continued positive behaviour choices, confidence and independence.
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
- Follow all policies and procedures on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient and adaptable.
- Passionate about supporting learning and young people to succeed.
- Confident building positive relationships with learners.
- Resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Willing to learn and develop through training and hands on experience.
