Academics are recruiting a passionate SEN Learning Support Mentor on behalf of a specialist Alternative Provision setting in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. As part of the role, you will work alongside and be supported by highly experienced teaching staff as well as a wide range of other education professionals. Your role will be essential in helping learners manage and understand their behaviour, engage in learning, and build social and emotional skills for life! You will be vital in creating a positive and supportive environment where all learners feel safe, valued, and understood whilst attending the provision so that everyone is able to develop and thrive.

Role Details:

  • Location: Cheltenham
  • Salary: £93 - £105 per day (DOE)
  • Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm)
  • Start: ASAP
  • Contract: Term Time only

Key Qualities we are seeking:

  • A genuine passion for helping children with SEN succeed.
  • Experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and take on training opportunities.
  • An enhanced DBS check (Or willingness to apply for one).
