We are currently seeking a number of dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work in our schools that are based in South Birmingham. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day-to-day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey while becoming part of a supportive school where you can be recognised as an asset to the team.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide engaging 1-to-1 sessions for pupil/s with SEND
  • Support pupils' learning, communication and social development both inside and outside the classroom
  • Work closely with both the SENDCO and teacher to deliver relevant and tailored learning plans
  • The role may include assisting with personal care, therefore candidates must be able to support the pupils' personal care needs with patience and compassion

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
  • Has relevant qualifications or experience
  • Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
