Are you a compassionate and resilient School Support Worker looking for flexible work in the Aylesbury area? We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to support children and young people with additional and complex needs within a specialist educational setting. This is a great opportunity for experienced support workers, care professionals, teaching assistants or anyone with relevant SEN experience who is looking for part-time and flexible work within education.
The role involves supporting learners with autism, communication difficulties and complex needs, including non-verbal learners, helping them access education in a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
Key Details
- Location: Aylesbury
- Pay: £14.50-£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Hours: Part-time and flexible - days can be discussed around your availability
- Contract: Temporary, ad-hoc work with opportunities for regular ongoing work
- Start: Immediate
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with autism and additional needs
- Support non-verbal learners with communication, sensory activities and learning tasks
- Provide personal and intimate care where required
- Follow individual learning and care plans
- Support learners to engage positively with their education and daily routines
- Work alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals
- Help create a calm, supportive and inclusive environment
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK - unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship
- Availability to work on a part-time or flexible basis
- Experience supporting autistic and/or non-verbal learners, ideally within a school, care or specialist setting
- Comfortable providing personal and intimate care
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach
- A genuine interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs
