We are advertising both a Marketing Manager and a Marketing Specialist role as we want to find the best person available. If you feel you could be right for either role, please apply for the one that best reflects your current experience.

Academic Families is a specialist international education consultancy helping families find the right international education for their children. We work globally, and specifically across SE Asia, LATAM, and East Africa, supporting students and families through every step of their admissions and UK guardianship journey.

We’re growing, and we’re looking for a talented Marketing Manager to lead our marketing function and take it to the next level.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine breadth. You’ll own the full marketing function; strategy, campaigns, paid media, HubSpot CRM, website internationalisation, and team management; working closely with regional business development colleagues across international markets. You’ll line manage a Marketing Content and Design Executive and a Design and Content Apprentice, and will take on paid media and CRM responsibilities currently held within our regional team as we grow.

What you’ll do

  • Lead marketing strategy and delivery across SE Asia, LATAM, and East Africa
  • Own global paid advertising across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn
  • Manage HubSpot as our central marketing platform, automation, lead nurturing, and analytics
  • Lead the internationalisation and localisation of our WordPress website
  • Oversee all digital channels; email, social, AEO/SEO, and web content
  • Line manage and develop the Content Executive and Design Apprentice
  • Report on marketing performance and MQLs to senior leadership

What we’re looking for

  • Proven marketing management experience, ideally in education, professional services, or B2B/B2C
  • Demonstrable experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of paid media (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and HubSpot
  • Excellent understanding of AEO/SEO, content strategy, and digital campaign delivery
  • Commercial mindset with ability to track and communicate ROI
  • Collaborative style with confidence to provide direction across a small, international team
  • Experience with or interest in international markets is a strong advantage

Why Academic Families?

  • A genuinely international role working across three regions
  • Real ownership of the marketing function; this isn’t a support role
  • A close-knit, ambitious team where your work directly shapes business growth
  • Salary £42,000 — £50,000, Edinburgh-based
