Academic Families is a specialist international education consultancy helping families find the right UK and international boarding school for their children. We work globally and in particular across SE Asia, LATAM, and East Africa, supporting students and families through every step of their admissions and UK guardianship journey.
We're looking for a talented content creator to join our small, busy marketing team; someone who loves crafting compelling copy and campaigns, and has the design skills to bring content to life visually.
The opportunity
This is a content-first role at the heart of Academic Families' marketing. You'll write copy, manage social media, create visuals and video content, run email campaigns, and maintain our WordPress website; producing content that reaches and engages international families across SE Asia, LATAM, and East Africa. You'll report to the Marketing Manager and work closely alongside our Content and Design Apprentice; collaborating daily on content, design, and events, and supporting their practical development on the job.
What you'll do
- Write compelling copy across all formats; blogs, web pages, email newsletters, social posts, event materials, and campaign content
- Manage Academic Families' social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) including content calendar, posting, video content, and engagement
- Maintain and update our WordPress website with a focus on AEO, SEO, and user experience
- Create digital and print marketing collateral using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Develop, monitor, and refine email marketing campaigns
- Support the Boarding Schools Expo in Kenya and other key events
- Track content performance and share insights with the Marketing Manager
What we're looking for
- Experience in a content, digital marketing, or communications role
- Strong copywriting skills with a portfolio across multiple formats
- Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite to a working level that supports content production
- Experience managing social media platforms professionally
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Familiarity with WordPress, HubSpot, Google Analytics, or AEO/SEO principles is a bonus
- Video creation or editing experience is a plus
