Academic Choice is currently recruiting caring, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in primary and secondary schools across the West Midlands. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential within a supportive school environment.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech & Language needs and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Support pupils both in and outside the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to implement individual support plans.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to help pupils thrive both academically and emotionally.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
  • A calm, patient and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • The right to work in the UK.
