SEND Classroom Support – Reception 1:1 The Role Academic Appointments are supporting our partner Primary Schools in East Leeds to prepare for the new academic year. Over recent years, the increase in inclusion in mainstream classrooms has meant a higher demand for support staff to help provide pupils with additional needs with the care and attention they need. To support with this, we are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants and Support Staff with EYFS experience that are passionate about supporting young people. Experience working with individuals with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties or Speech and Language challenges would be a real positive, but what is critical is a positive, nurturing and calm demeanour and a patient and engaging personality. As a member of our dedicated Early Years team you will be expected: * To support the teacher in the planning and delivery of learning for an individual child. * To help with assessment and record keeping of individual children. * To support the teacher in the evaluation of learning opportunities for individual children. * To contribute to the pastoral care and support of all pupils * To promote the inclusion and progression of all pupils * To encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
