We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistants and nursery nurses to join our supply teaching assistant network and work in dynamic and supportive school and nursery environments across Leeds. The successful supply staff member will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning and care for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping pupils to develop socially, emotionally and academically in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging learning activities
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional wellbeing
- Support children with personal care and hygiene, where required
- Prepare classroom resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
- Experience working with young children and in a school environment
- Understanding of the EYFS framework
- Good communication and teamworking skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
- Must hold a qualification achieved in the UK and is recognised by the DfE as full and relevant for early years practice in order to meet EYFS staffing ratios.
