Job Description

As a sales executive, you\’ll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow.
Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to communicate with existing or potential clients.
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by understanding client needs.
  • Provide relevant product information by referring to price lists and product information.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily client reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and marketing techniques.
  • Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reading relevant information online, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and learning from other colleagues in the company.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on client sales and other relevant information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing relevant results as needed.
  • Present, promote, and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Continuously improve through feedback.
