Role Overview

We are seeking a PhD graduate or current PhD candidate in Psychology (QS Top 150 World University) to join our team as a Proofreader & Academic Mentor. This is a flexible, remote role focused on monthly document review and providing academic guidance to students preparing for competitive university applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Proofreading & Editing

2. Review and edit personal statements, research proposals, CVs, and other admissions documents for grammar, clarity, structure, and academic tone.

3. Provide actionable feedback to help students strengthen their narratives and present their achievements effectively.

4. Monthly Academic Check-Ins

5. Conduct regular (monthly) reviews of students\’ admissions materials, ensuring they remain polished and up to date as their profiles evolve.

6. Monitor progress on research proposals, personal statements, and other deliverables, providing guidance to maintain quality and meet deadlines.

7. Tutoring & Academic Support (Optional / As Needed)

8. Offer guidance on research design, literature review, and writing best practices for psychology-related projects.

9. Provide light academic coaching or feedback on course assignments when relevant to students\’ overall application profile.

10. Quality & Consistency

11. Ensure that all student submissions meet professional and academic standards suitable for highly competitive university admissions.

12. Verify terminology, logical flow, and compliance with formal academic expectations.

Requirements

• Academic Background:
  PhD (completed or in progress) in Psychology from a QS Top 150 World University.
• Language Expertise:
  Exceptional command of English with proven experience in proofreading or editing academic documents.
• Attention to Detail:
  Meticulous approach to grammar, punctuation, and style.
• Reliability:
  Able to meet deadlines, manage monthly check-ins, and work independently.
• (Preferred)
  Experience mentoring students, tutoring, or supporting academic work.
