Academia’s fantastic repairs team needs a new manager. The ideal candidate will have experience of ACMT mac and iOS repairs as well as PC/Laptop repairs to a very high level. In addition, they will need to have excellent people management skills for both managing the team and customer escalations; be well organised, and able to prioritise and organise workloads, liaise with all teams regarding bulk contracts for new customers, and keep track of parts ordering and shipping invoices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of repair technicians and admins
- Be responsible for the management of all repairs flowing through the department
- Perform Warranty and Out of warranty fault diagnosis, inspection and repair of Apple Macs, iOS devices and Microsoft surface devices
- Using GSX to facilitate Apple part ordering and repair completion
- Using ROBO to facilitate Microsoft part ordering and repair completion
- Check and sign off on parts orders and invoices
- Check and sign off on shipping orders and invoices
- Stock management
- ISO procedure documentation
- Reporting repair data
Essential Skills & Experience
- Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT)
- Per device repair certifications on current Apple &/or Microsoft hardware
- Min. 3 A Levels or equivalent
- Industry experience &/or Certifications
- People management experience
- Experience in triaging and repairing Apple Mac
- Experience of Apple’s GSX
- Excellent all-round communication
- Excellent planning and work organisation skills
- Excellent telephone manner
