Description
Academia is currently seeking to recruit a new member of staff to support the growth of the Technical Services division.
As a member of the Apple Helpdesk Team, the emphasis will be on providing high quality technical services & support to our, predominantly Jamf, managed and supported client base.
- Amongst other tasks the Apple Systems Engineer will be responsible for;
- Tier 2+ remote desktop support for OSX, i OS and Jamf Pro
- Issue resolution
- Maintenance and automation of software for patch management
- Basic network troubleshooting and diagnostics
- MDM (Jamf) solution maintenance
- Solutions documentation
- ISO procedure documentation
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience
- Key Skills
- Experience in managing an Apple Mac &/or Apple i OS environment from the ground up using Jamf Pro in a current (Mac OS Sequoia and above) environment
- A passion for all things technology related
- Excellent all round communication skills especially in questioning and listening.
- Excellent personal planning and work organisation skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to demonstrate solutions to customers when necessary
• Experience* &/or certification of any of the following
- Jamf Certified
- Jamf Pro CCA or 300
- Jamf Protect or 270 or above
- Knowledge of modern Jamf management including Blueprints & SSO
- Apple School Manager
