The predicted salary is between 37500 - 42000 £ per year.

Salary: £37,500 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Additional Pay: Up to 2 sleep-ins per week (£50 per sleep-in) + £2,000 on-call allowance per year

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading provider in children's residential care. You will be leading a 4 bed, vibrant, nurturing children's residential home for young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

About the Role: As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care, support, and outcomes for the young people. You'll lead a dedicated staff team, promote a culture of quality and learning whilst contributing actively to the strategic growth of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the safe and effective operation of the home
  • Support with rota management to ensure children's needs are fully met
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and leadership to the staff team
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and statutory requirements
  • Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of staff
  • Foster positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies
  • Oversee medication administration, safeguarding protocols, and adherence to individual care plans
  • Share on-call responsibilities and deputise for the Registered Manager as needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic planning across the service

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience post-Level 3 qualification, working within an Ofsted registered Children’s Home
  • Experience as a Deputy Manager, Senior Residential Support Worker, or Team Leader
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and safeguarding skills
  • Hands-on experience supporting external inspections (Reg 44 visits, Ofsted)
  • Ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance and staff development
