Role Description

An opportunity has arisen for an Office Assistant to join our Acacia Homecare team at our Reading office and be part of an administrative team. The role would include the need to provide an effective and professional administrative service working closely with the Care Manager and the different service leads to ensure that head office requirements are met. You will be required to provide on-going support to the service team leads to set up interviews with potential employees and provide ad-hoc office admin support as well support the customer leads . The successful candidate will be a friendly enthusiastic individual who is not afraid to get stuck in and give support where needed. This role will also require the individual to complete the professional NVQ Health and Social Care qualification.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensuring that paper and computer records are kept up to date
  • Rota planning for the following week – ensuring all schedules are sent out every week
  • Collection and collation of data and maintenance of internal databases
  • CV searching
  • Conducting brief telephone interviews
  • Organizing face-to-face interviews
  • Ad-hoc office duties e.g. filing, scanning and photocopying
  • Dealing with postal requirements
  • Greeting visitors Participation with the on call rota
  • Supporting marketing and social media

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including managing databases, record-keeping, and coordination
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools and software for scheduling and administrative tasks
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
