Summary/Objective: Responsible for leading and supervising preschool, elementary, and middle school children who participate in the tennis camp program. Must be able to commit to the summer camp season (June - August).
Essential Functions:
- Provide competent tennis instruction for all groups and levels of players.
- Supervise and interact with children to promote educationally and developmentally-stimulating programs and activities.
- Supervise and interact with children during classroom time, outdoor play, and transportation time.
- Follow state licensing standards for child care.
- Communicate with children using a style that builds relationships and promotes teamwork.
- Assist with junior development of competitive players and 10 and under tennis.
- Assist the Director with all club events, tournaments and USTA matches.
- Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the facility while providing outstanding customer service.
- Promote the safety and security of all participants at all times.
- Maintain a notable visual presence during work shifts.
- Communicate program policies and expectations to members and/or guests to ensure a high level of safety and service at all times.
- Supervise children by maintaining appropriate student-to-counselor ratios.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift.
- Must be able to physically respond in a quick manner in the event of an emergency.
- Must be able to fully participate in all indoor and outdoor activities.
- Must be able to work professionally and calmly in an environment which may have heightened noise and stress.
- Must be able to work in warm, humid, rainy or windy outdoor conditions.
- Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Competencies, Education, and Experience:
- Must be able to commit to work the summer camp season (June - August).
- Prior working experience and knowledge of state licensing standards highly desired.
- Prior experience with youth programming and/or summer camp programs highly desired.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.

- Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep the club neat and clean.
- Assist with Service Days.

- Exhibit a positive attitude at all times.
- Deliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times.
