In this role you will be responsible for overseeing ACA\’s delivery of on-going regulatory compliance consulting services to an assigned book of clients, including providing prompt and considered responses to ad hoc regulatory queries, conducting periodic on-site FCA reviews and undertaking other regulatory projects for our FCA-regulated clients, such as hedge funds and private equity firms.

You will take a leading role on complex projects and in managing client relationships, whilst at all times ensuring high levels of client service and demonstrating technical competence and confidence across a range of compliance areas.

You will play a key role in the maintenance and enhancement of the delivery of the firm\’s products and services, including drafting template policies, updating logs of FCA regulatory changes and presenting regulatory developments to colleagues. This role includes responsibility for the development, progression and oversight of other ACA staff.

What you\’ll do:

  • Oversee the delivery of day-to-day regulatory consulting services, providing expert advice to clients, an excellent client experience and coordinating internal delivery teams.
  • Perform a broad scope of work to ACA\’s largest and most complicated clients, guiding, coordinating and consolidating the work of colleagues.
  • Manage a book of client relationships and projects proactively, as well as monitor profitability and accounts receivable and use given tools, such as Salesforce, to manage client projects effectively.
  • Demonstrate a commercial awareness such that additional ACA Group services can be promoted for the benefit of clients, where appropriate, via referrals to dedicated sales representatives.
  • Identify, manage and/or support ACA special projects and internal initiatives, e.g. drafting articles for industry publications, speaking at external events, participating in sales initiatives, conducting or overseeing research on compliance issues and delivering training presentations.
  • Formally supervise, train, evaluate, oversee, and provide feedback to colleagues in a supervisory and project manager capacity.
  • Adopt a leading role on key internal management-level working groups.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Strong academic background (i.e. degree level, LPC or recognized professional qualification)
  • Eight years of industry experience. Alternatively, at least six years\’ experience that includes some combination of the following: (i) employment with the Financial Conduct Authority or (ii) in an Analyst / Consultant role with ACA or an equivalent role with a consulting or legal organisation comparable to ACA.
  • Expert knowledge of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (as amended), the Markets in Financial Instruments Directives, the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, and related FCA rules and guidance.

Ideally you will have:

  • Investment Management Certificate, LPC, CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance or similar.
  • Supervisory experience
